Garden Pavilion

Garden Pavilion is designed as a modest room within a larger landscape. The project is less concerned with object form than with how a person arrives, pauses, and looks outward. A narrow path leads through planting before reaching a timber structure held lightly above the ground.

The pavilion is organized around framed views and filtered light. Timber columns establish a calm rhythm, while translucent surfaces soften brightness and make the garden feel close without becoming visually loud. The interior is sparse: a low platform, a reading surface, concealed storage, and a small hearth-like point of gathering.

Materials are used with restraint and care. Timber, stone, plaster, and woven surfaces create a tactile but quiet setting. The pavilion is intentionally small, allowing scale, silence, and seasonal change to become the main experience. It is architecture as pause rather than performance.
